I like how this design embraces that. The bulky wings and primitive tail design both convey that, as does the huge body.
I like how the head manages to look elegant and full of a very distinct personality, without looking overly anthropomorphic. It's of a logical size too. Not as large as a pteranodon, not as small as a turkey.
